Celebrate by visiting Song's Chicken . Here's what one reviewer said about Song's Chicken: "I love this place! I went for lunch and had a great time. They gave me a sample of the daily special — a spiced yellow broth with chickpeas that comes with rice and chicken - it was so good I almost got some to go for dinner. I ordered the falafel [sandwich], which is a wrap, [with] grape leaves, and the baba ghanoush. All were excellent and the baba ghanoush was the best I've ever had. They also gave [me] a taste of the Arabian coffee which was spiced and delicious. There is a great vibe here, clean, friendly, cool space with Egyptian decor. I'll be back soon!" Collector’s Corner opened its doors to customers in September of 2001 on Harford Rd. in Parkville, Maryland. Movie Suggestions Battle of the Sexes Get your tickets to see Battle of the Sexes this month! It comes out in theaters on Friday, September 22. From spring to late fall, you’ll find scores of Baltimore farmers markets dotted throughout the city selling fresh produce, locally made cheeses, and even some unusual culinary curiosities, as well as flowers, crafts, and gifts. Take a peek at some of the Baltimore farmers markets favored by locals and visitors alike: From the small, locally-owned stands to the large and lively markets with rows of growers and extensive selections, "good eats" are always just around the corner at a Baltimore farmers market. When it comes to fresh and locally made and sourced food, a farmers market in Baltimore is the place to go to locate some fabulous food finds for everyone in the family. National Golf Month Clifton Park Golf Course is our favorite local golf course. Check it out to celebrate National Golf Month before the August is through. The Clifton Park Golf Course, built in 1915, was the first public golf course in Baltimore. Happy National Family Fun Month!   Upcoming Holidays National S'mores Day Will you be celebrating National S'mores Day this year? We love the idea of hosting a s’mores bar with friends. You can find all kind of interesting and cool s’more creations. Put out the classic s’more ingredients (graham crackers, chocolate squares, and large marshmallows) along with a variety of candy bars, cookies, and more. Let your guests be creative, but you can also write out some suggested options.   Movie Suggestions Detroit Detroit will be playing in theatres beginning Friday, August 4. A police raid in Detroit in 1967 results in one of the largest and most intense riots in United States history, leading to the federalization of the Michigan National Guard and the involvement of two Airborne [Divisions] of the United States Army. Stop by a nearby Redbox !   Book Suggestions Sour Heart If you’re looking for a book that’ll make you think, read Sour Heart by Jenny Zhang. This book was published on August 1st. It’s a collection of stories from Chinese-American girls who grew up in New York. Learn about all sorts of different and interesting stories of these girls. The Glass Castle The Glass Castle is a book about a dysfunctional family and the search for understanding among it all. After reading this book, you can watch the new movie that comes out on August 11th of this month. “The Glass Castle is a remarkable memoir of resilience and redemption, and a revelatory look into a family at once deeply dysfunctional and uniquely vibrant… The Walls children learned to take care of themselves.
